Privacy Policy
Last updated: 16 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Bright Coding Invoice & Business Tools ("we", "us", "the site") collects, uses and protects information when you use this website.
1. The short version
- The documents you create and the data you enter are processed only in your browser and are not stored on our servers.
- We use cookies and similar technologies for advertising (Google AdSense) and, where enabled, anonymous analytics (Google Analytics 4).
- You can accept or decline non-essential cookies at any time using the banner or the Cookie settings link in the footer.
- We never sell your personal data.
2. Information we process
a) Document data — invoice, quote, receipt and client details you enter are processed locally in your browser. Share links encode the document in the URL itself; nothing is stored server-side. If a document contains information about your clients, you are responsible for having a lawful basis to process it.
b) AI assistant requests — when you use an optional AI feature, the text you submit is sent to our server and forwarded to Google Gemini for processing. Do not submit sensitive data through AI features if you do not want it processed by that provider.
c) Technical and usage data — with your consent, Google Analytics may collect device type, browser, approximate location (country/city level), pages visited and interaction events. This is aggregated and never used to identify you.
d) Advertising data — with your consent, Google and its partners may use cookies to display relevant advertising and measure its performance.
3. Cookies and local storage
| Type | Purpose | Consent required |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Remember your language, draft and cookie choice, keep the site working | No |
| Advertising | Serve and measure ads via Google AdSense | Yes |
| Analytics | Anonymous traffic statistics via Google Analytics | Yes |
You can change your choice at any time via the Cookie settings link in the footer, or manage cookies in your browser settings.
4. Google AdSense and third-party vendors
We use Google AdSense to display advertising that keeps this tool free. Google and its partners may use cookies (including the DoubleClick/DART cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings and review Google's practices at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
In the European Economic Area and the UK, personalised advertising is only activated after you give consent through the consent banner.
5. Legal bases (GDPR)
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: your consent (analytics and advertising cookies), our legitimate interest in operating a secure, functional website, and performance of a contract where you use a paid feature (if any).
6. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@brightcoding.dev.
7. Data retention
Documents you create are not retained by us. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics settings (up to 14 months). Advertising data is retained by Google according to its own policies.
8. Children
This site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
