How it works

Energy = battery × (to − from) / 100. Time = energy / power. Cost = energy × price per kWh.

Worked example

60 kWh × (80−10)/100 = 42 kWh. At 7.4 kW → 5.7 h. At 0.30/kWh → 12.60.

Recommendations

  • Home charging overnight is cheapest
  • Use fast charging only when needed
  • Charge to 80% at fast stations — the last 20% is slow
